Young Barnet Foundation is collecting new toys throughout November to give to children this festive season

Young Barnet Foundation is asking the Barnet community to reach deep in the run-up to the festive season this year and buy a present to be given to child or young person who otherwise might not receive one.

Young Barnet Foundation’s Christmas Gift appeal was launched in 2018 and since has wrapped a staggering 9,500 gifts, distributing them to disadvantaged children and young people living in Barnet via local charities, social enterprises, community and faith groups.

This year the Foundation aims to distribute over 2500 gifts to the children and young people they help.

New, unwrapped toys should be dropped off at the Young Barnet Foundation offices located at Old East Barnet Library, 85 Brookhill Road, East Barnet, EN4 8SG

The suggested value for gifts is between £10 – £15. The foundation is unable to accept any donations of food or clothing.

The Foundation also needs volunteer gift wrappers to prepare the presents before they are delivered and are also hoping for donations which mean they can bulk-buy presents, helping more gifts can reach more children and young people.
