About us

Barnet Post is a not-for-profit publication, written by and for local people: giving readers the chance to learn more about what is going on in their area and to read (and write) stories about what matters to them.

The Post aims to hold power to account, promote the work of local community organisations and voluntary groups, and provide a platform for local people to raise important issues. The Post is an inclusive platform aiming to reflect the diversity of the borough and support local communities to tell their own stories.

From December 2023, The Post will also be a monthly free newspaper distributed through supermarkets and other community venues across the borough.

Barnet Post is produced by Social Spider Community News, publishers of Waltham Forest EchoHaringey Community PressEnfield Dispatch and Newham Voices. These publications operate on a sustainable, not-for-profit model funded primarily through local advertising and supplemented by donations through our membership schemes. Any surplus income generated is reinvested in our journalism.

If you would like to help support Barnet Post find out more about our supporter scheme or consider purchasing an advertisement for your organisation.
