Bees makes it four out of four in pre-season with victory over The Tudors reports Nick Sandamas

Barnet’s impressive pre-season form continued with another win on the road, as Nicke Kabamba’s first half trick made it four out of four for Dean Brennan’s impressive outfit.
The match which was preceded by a minute’s applause for former Tudors’ player Spencer McCall, who sadly passed away in 2021 with a rare form of bone cancer at just 26, saw the Bees open the game well with Jon Stead on eight minutes forcing Tudors’ keeper Woody Williamson to beat his shot away.
Then, on 15 minutes, Kabamba scored the first of his treble. Following a Bees corner, Ben Coker saw the ball come back to him, he whipped a delicate cross into the box and Kabamba rose to head home into the net.
Ten minutes later, the number 9 doubled his and his lead when Stead provided a inch perfect pass to the striker to shot low into the net and give the Bees a two-goal cushion.
The striker finished things off on 37 minutes with Stead again providing the assist for him to roll the ball into the net.
George Williams finally got the Tudors onto the scoresheet on the stroke of half time to give the home faithful some cheer and hope going into the second half.
For the second half the Bees fielded a different eleven and keeper Jordan Gilmore had to be on alert early on, doing well to come to the edge of his area and prevent a certain second goal from the feet of Alfie Cerulli.
With 20 minutes remaining, Bees’ Finley Wilkinson stung the palms of the Tudors’ keeper and late on two further chances fell to the home side but were not taken, and the Bees went home the happier as they continue to build up fitness ahead of the new season in three weeks’ time.
After the game ended, both sides were pictured together with the Spencer McCall invitational trophy in full view.
Next up for the Bees is this Monday as they travel to another step 2 side in Chelmsford City
