Detectives are still seeking a man in connection with a murder in North Finchley last month.

The police issued a statement on 9th June which said they “urgently need to trace” James Duncan, who is 21 and from the Barnet area, following the murder of 19-year-old woman at an address in Dale Grove on the morning on 8th June.

At the time, Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said: “My team are working around the clock to locate James Duncan, and piece together the incident that resulted in the death of a much-loved young woman, daughter and sister.

“I urge people with information – especially those who have details on James’ whereabouts – or anyone with relevant doorbell or dashcam footage from Dale Grove to immediately contact police.”

Barnet Post asked the Met this week whether the suspect had been located. A spokesperson said that the investigation was “ongoing” and added that “officers continue to work tirelessly to locate the suspect”.
