The police are appealing for help to trace two people who failed to stop at the scene of serious collision in which a 12-year-old girl was seriously injured in Barnet yesterday.
Police were called at 10.12pm to a collision on Colney Hatch Lane involving a Vauxhall Astra and Bentley Continental.
The 12-year-old girl, who was one of the occupants of the Astra, sustained critical injuries. She was taken to hospital and remains in a life-threatening condition. The girl’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Detectives believe that the occpants of the Bentley were two males, who both left the scene on foot before police arrived. The car has not been reported as lost or stolen.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating and they are appealing for any witnesses, and anyone with dash cam or mobile phone footage, to contact them by calling 101 giving ref number CAD 7888 20AUG22.
