The manager of a North Finchley building site has received an award for his commitment to housebuilding.

Harvey Scott, who oversees work at Taylor Wimpey’s The Tramworks development on the High Road, received a Pride in the Job 2026 Regional Award from the National House-Building Council (NHBC) in the multi-storey category.

Taylor Wimpey says that the award “cements his status as one of the best site managers in the UK”.

The award “celebrates site managers’ dedication to raising standards, showcasing best practice and rewarding excellence”. The company says “A Pride in the Job award demonstrates that the homes at The Tramworks are of the very highest standard”.

After receiving the award, Harvey said: “Winning a Regional Award is a truly special moment for me and my team. Pride in the Job is so important to site managers. It’s often talked about as the Oscars of the housebuilding industry, so to be amongst the few people to receive the honour this year makes me feel very proud.

“We’ve worked really hard to ensure that our standards are high across all aspects of our work as we want to make sure that we build the very best quality homes for customers. To be named among the best in London is a real honour and I want to thank my team for their fantastic support.”

Cassandra Codling, senior regional director at NHBC said: “Congratulations to Harvey on his win. He has demonstrated incredible dedication, passion, commitment and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality.

“The Pride in the Job competition is at the heart of NHBC’s core purpose to raise standards in house building. It inspires site managers to make their mark on the industry, earning the respect of their peers and leaving a legacy of homes built to the highest quality standards.”
