Barnet Gays marks third year of local social meetups

Mukesh Oza on meetups for gay men in Barnet

Local for meetup group Barnet Gays

Barnet Gays is continuing its monthly social meetups for gay men in Barnet, North London and nearby areas.

The Wednesday, 12th August social marks three years of Barnet Gays, which offers a relaxed way for gay men aged 18+ to meet locally, make friends and build community without always needing to travel into central London.

The group is connected with London Gays, its larger Soho-based sister group, which has now been bringing gay men together for twelve years.

Barnet Gays socials are hosted and welcoming, with a mix of regular attendees and newcomers. People can come on their own, with a partner, or with gay male friends. The group is social and community-focused, rather than a dating event.

Newcomers are encouraged to arrive near the start time so the host can say hello and make introductions before the event gets busier.

Upcoming Barnet Gays socials are planned for:

  • Wednesday 12th August 2026, 6.30pm to 8.30pm
  • Wednesday 16th September 2026, 6.30pm to 8.30pm
  • Wednesday 14th October 2026, 6.30pm to 8.30pm

The meetups are free to attend, although attendees are asked to support the venue by buying a drink.

Barnet Gays aims to provide a safe, respectful and friendly space for gay men locally, including those who are new to the area, recently out, returning to social life, or simply looking to meet other gay men close to home.
