Nick Sandamas with his latest local football round-up

Barnet kept up the pressure in League 2 with a 3-2 win over Barrow to move to within a couple of points off the play-off places.
Despite conceding early, the Bees roared back through Kabongo Tshimanga and Mark Shelton to lead, however Rakeem Harper’s run and shot with seventeen minutes to go seemed to have given the Bluebirds a crucial point in their fight against the drop before Callum Stead struck with seven minutes to go to give the Bees all three points.
In the Isthmian Premier Division, Wingate & Finchley left Chatham Town with nothing following a 4-0 thrashing. This result leaves the Blues needing a point from their remaining two games to be assured of step three football next season.
It may become a worrying situation for Hendon in the Isthmian South Central. A run of six games without a win has now dropped them down into 16th place just four points above the dreaded line.
A stoppage time goal by Marcel Barrington for champions Leatherhead denied the Greens a vital win. Sam Shaban had given them the lead on the hour but Barrington had other ideas.
Hadley and London Lions, (both assured of step four football next season) had differing results. Hadley came from behind to beat Barton Rovers 2-1. Finlay Aldridge grabbing the winner in stoppage time, whilst London Lions were easily dispatched 3-0 away to Hitchin Town.
FA Vase finalists Cockfosters couldn’t repeat their two midweek wins in the Spartan South Midlands league Premier Div as they were held to a goalless draw against Colney Heath. However, they do still remain in the hunt for a play off place as they have three games in hand on the sides above them.
