Continued progress for the Bees

The Bees began November with an FA Cup trip north to face Fleetwood Town in the first round proper but Calum Stead’s goal wasn’t enough as they were beaten 2-1 to leave just the league to concentrate on.

The following week, Barnet welcomed promotion favourites MK Dons to The Hive. Adam Senior and Mark Shelton gave the Bees a two-goal lead but MK fought back to leave with a draw.

It was then a trip to Cambridge for their next league game against United at the Abbey Stadium the following week. Despite being roared on by an impressive 992 travelling fans, the Bees had to settle for a point in a goalless draw.

Another side fancied for promotion, Gillingham were the next opponents for Dean Brennan’s men in a Saturday lunchtime game and a rather average encounter finished in a 1-1 draw (the fourth league draw on the bounce).

Callum Stead gave the Bees an early lead but Bradley Dack’s wonderful free kick on the stroke of half time levelled for the Gills to leave Barnet in the bottom half of a tight table but not far off the seventh place final play-off spot. It’s a decent position for their first season back in the EFL after a gap of seven years.

Later in the month, the Bees’ youngsters crashed out of the FA Youth Cup with a 3-0 defeat against Colchester United’s youth team at The Hive.

With Harrogate visiting The Hive, the Bees will have hoped to have ended November with a win.

With the half way mark approaching this month, they have five games in total in December including three games in seven days between Christmas and New Year. These include home games against Bristol Rovers and Salford along with trips to Chesterfield, Newport County on Boxing Day and the return match against Bristol Rovers to finish 2025.

The Bees new year begins with Crawley visiting The Hive on 1st January, with supporters hoping for a strong start to 2026.
