Nick Sandamas sees a young Bees’ side lose in the Middlesex Senior Cup

Barnet 1 Southall 5
A young Barnet side exited the Middlesex Senior Cup at the first hurdle after Southall hit them for five with Makael Scott firing four goals.
The game, played on the 3G behind the main stadium, started brightly for the Bees and, on sixteen minutes, they took the lead when Bolaji Jacob played the ball into the box for Steve Ogunkoya to score from close range.
Nine minutes later Southall levelled when Scott took advantage of a mistake by keeper Anthony Harambous to slot the ball into the net.
The Bees came close to re taking the lead soon after but Aaron Liwala blazed his shot over, whilst for the visitors Dan Pepple failed to take advantage of an error at the back with an effort that went over.
The second half though saw Southall score three times before the hour mark: all scored by Scott to take the game away from the Bees.
Both sides had more chances to alter the scoreline but Southall settled for just one more goal (in the final minute) to complete the scoring & make it a five star show.
Team: Harambous, Liwala, Goumal, Ajala, Richard, Jacob, Bunn, Blower, Daniels, Gibbs, Ogunkoya
Subs all used: MacCarthy, Augustin, Sanchez, Matejko, Corra
