Seven closures on the M1 and A1 for Barnet drivers to avoid reports Sonja Tutty, Data Reporter

Barnet’s motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M1, from 9.30pm 29th September to 6am 25th October, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for Boundary Fence repairs.
And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M1, from 10pm 13th October to 6am 18th October, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for survey works.
• M1, from 10pm 16th October 16 to 5.30am 24th October, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for drainage works.
• M1, from 10pm 20th October to 6am 25th October, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane closures for survey works.
• A1, from 10pm 20th October to 6am 25th October, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, junction Bignells Corner to junction Rowley Lane, Lane closures for Culvert works.
• A1, from 11pm 24th October to 5am 29th October, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 4, Lane closures, slip road closures and carriageway closure for maintenance works, diversion via TFL roads.
• M1, from 10pm 27th October to 5.30am 28th October, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 2, Lane closures for Sign works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
