Drivers in and around Barnet will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M1, from 10.30pm 21st September to 5.30am 23rd September, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane and slip road closure for Urgent Safety Fence repairs, diversion via National Highways Network.
• M1, from 9.30pm 1st September to 6am 27th September, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for Boundary Fence replacements.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A1, from 10pm 22nd September to 5.30am 25th September, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A41 northbound, junction Five Ways to M1 northbound, junction 2, Lane and link road closure for Concrete repairs, diversion via Local Authorities network.
• M1, from 10pm 23rd September to 5.30am 24th September, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A41 northbound, junction Edgware way to M1 northbound, junction 4, slip road closure for Sign works, diversion via Local Authorities network.
• A1, from 10pm 25th September to 5.30am 7th October, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A41 northbound, junction Five Ways to M1 northbound, junction 2, Lane and link road closure for Concrete works, diversion via Local Authorities network.
• M1, from 9.30pm 29th September to 6am 25th October, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for Boundary Fence repairs.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
