Seven Jewish premises have been targeted in separate incidents

Police officers investigating a series of antisemitic incidents arrested a man today.
The Met say a 37-year-old man was arrested in the Hendon area this afternoon on suspicion of religiously motivated criminal damage in connection with the seven offences.
He was taken into custody where he remains.
The police are continuing with enquiries and have increased presence in the area.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, said: “This is a significant development in our investigation following substantial CCTV enquiries by officers. We remain in close contact with the local Jewish community as we continue to provide our support and reassurance.”
Barnet Council leader Barry Rawlings condemned the attacks in a statement on Tuesday, in which he said: “There is no room for race hate or religiously motivated persecution in Barnet.”
Anyone with information which can assist the investigation is asked to contact the Met via101 quoting 1071/03SEP. If you wish to remain anonymous do speak to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
