Four delays on the M1 and A1 for Barnet drivers to avoid reports Clara Margotin, Data Reporter

Barnet’s motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M1, from 10pm August 26 to 5.30am September 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2, Lane and slip road closure for Concrete repairs, diversion via Local Authorities network.
And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M1, from 9.30pm 1st September 1 to 6am 27th September, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for Boundary Fence replacements.
• A1, from 10pm 11th September 11 to 5am 12th September, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 2 and A1 southbound, junction Five ways Corner, Lane and slip road closure for inspections, diversion via Local Authorities network.
• A1, from 10pm 15th September 15 to 6am 20th September, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 5, carriageway, lane and slip road closure for resurfacing works, diversion via Local Authorities Network.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
