Residents were concerned that the automated parcel machines would cause security issues reports Sophie Mitchell

Transport for London has agreed to move a set of automated parcel machines (APMs) in Golders Green following a meeting with local politicians.
Local residents were concerned that the lockers being located in an important green space would create security issues and be obtrusive on the conservation area.
Labour councillors representing Child’s Hill held a meeting with TfL and InPost, who operate the APMs, on Tuesday 24th June. The GLA assembly member for Barnet and Camden, Anne Clarke, also attended.
Childs Hill Labour councillor, Nigel Young, said: “Collection lockers are convenient for residents and we want people in Childs Hill and Golders Green to have this facility.
“But it has to be in the right place. Residents voiced their concerns and we were happy to make sure they were heard.
Anne Clarke said: “It’s good to see TfL and InPost taking the issue seriously. At short notice, we arranged a site visit where they agreed to move the locker. We look forward to the new location being identified.”
