Eight delays on the M1 and A1 for Barnet drivers to avoid reports Will Grimond, Data Reporter

Barnet’s motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M1, from 8pm February 8th to 5am February 10th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 3 to junction 2, Lane closure for Resurfacing works.
And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M1, from 10pm February 13th to 5.30am February 14th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 3, Lane closures for Urgent concrete defects.
• A1, from 10pm February 13th to 6am February 15th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 5, carriageway and slip road closure for resurfacing works, diversion via Local Authorities.
• A1, from 10.30pm February 16th to 5am February 17th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1(M) northbound, junction 1 to junction 3 and A1 northbound, junction Rowley Lane to junction Bignells corner, carriageway and entry slip road closure for CAT 1 carriageway repairs, diversion via National Highways Network and local authority roads.
• A1, from 10pm February 17 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, junction Bignells corner to junction Rowley Lane, Lane closures for monitoring instillations.
• M1, from 10pm February 19 to 5.30am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction London Gateway services, Lane closures for CCTV P5 surveys.
• A1, from 10pm February 24th to 6am March 1st, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, junction Bignells corner to junction Rowley Lane, Lane closures for monitoring instillation works.
• M1, from 10pm February 24th to 5am February 27th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, Lane closure, slip road closures and carriageway closures for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways roads.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
