The Mayor of Barnet, Cllr Tony Vourou, will lay a wreath at Hendon War Memorial

Barnet residents will pay their respects to those who died in conflicts around the world at services across the borough this weekend.
The Mayor of Barnet, Cllr Tony Vourou, will be attending Hendon War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday and will lay a wreath on behalf of the council.
The Leader of the Council, Cllr Barry Rawlings and opposition politicians will be in attendance along with members of the Armed Forces, veterans, cadets, emergency services, multi-faith representatives, and the Salvation Army Band.
In the run-up to the commemorations, Cllr Vourou said: “Remembrance Sunday is always a very moving and poignant day and it is important that we remember all those who gave their lives for our freedom in conflicts across the world. People across the borough will join commemorations to pay their respects to the fallen. Lest we forget.”

The Town Hall will be illuminated in Red on Armistice Day 11th November.
