Families collaborated to paint installation The Maze in Brent Cross Town

As part of the London Mural Festival, Claremont Park in Brent Cross Town hosted a family mural painting day on Saturday 14th September.
Paint the Maze, a free workshop for families in the local community, was led by the talented artist and doodle maker, HATCH. The workshop gathered 400 visitors from the local community, borough of Barnet and wider London to help create and colour in the large-scale mural.
The Maze, a colourful art installation, opened in June 202. HATCH created a black and white mural which Paint the Maze attendees coloured in during the five hour workshop.
Barnet Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure, Arts & Sports, and Cricklewood Ward Member, Councillor Anne Clarke, who attended the event, said: “It was lovely to get involved and see locals and visitors come together to create a large colourful mural that celebrates Brent Cross Town’s growing art and culture. Everyone got stuck right in, from adults to children, and HATCH took great leadership of the activity. I look forward to seeing Brent Cross Town make a memorable stamp on London’s art and culture and reflecting the diverse communities within Barnet.”
