Nathaniel took part in a collaboration between The Prince’s Trust and Marvel to create superhero fashions

A young designer from Barnet is making waves with his standout creations in the latest Marvel-inspired collection, a collaborative project with The Prince’s Trust.
Nathaniel joined a group of other designers from The Prince’s Trust to create an exclusive collection of thirty-six pieces including clothes, accessories, and wall art, divided into three capsule collections representing different eras of Marvel’s 85-year history: Bronze, Silver, and Gold; 80s and 90s; and 2000s and beyond.
Marvel and The Prince’s Trust aim to provide mentorship and support to young individuals from diverse backgrounds aspiring to pursue careers in product design and the creative industries. In March, a week-long programme offered participants invaluable insights from industry experts, hands-on working sessions, and skills-based learning opportunities. Through this initiative, young designers gained extensive knowledge in design, production, manufacture, commercial planning, and marketing.
Nathaniel’s designs, which can be purchased at amazon, include Marvel Super Heroes Black Panther Shadowed Mask Logo 2-Sided Pullover Hoodie and Marvel Super Heroes Black Panther Shadowed Mask and Logo Pop Sockets Swappable Pop Grip.
Reflecting on his experience, Nathaniel said, “The programme has helped me develop more of my design abilities and my confidence. I’ve been able to learn about the processes of designing and creating products for marketing. We took part in comp shops, developed mood boards and developed great ideas as a team. Building confidence has been a great highlight. Everyone has been so supportive and encouraging, it’s been great to see everyone’s creative side and the ideas they’ve come up with. My next step is to add the products I’ve developed to my portfolio, which demonstrates I have experience working in product design and shows my creativity.”
The launch marks the third collection in the three-year partnership between Marvel, The Prince’s Trust, and Disney. Over the past three years, Disney has donated £300,000 to The Prince’s Trust.
Sophie Morrell, Director of Partnerships at The Prince’s Trust, said: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Marvel to empower these young designers. This partnership not only fosters creativity but also provides invaluable opportunities for personal and professional growth. At The Trust, we believe that young people have great potential if given the right support, and we hope this platform will help designers showcase their talent on a global scale.
The Prince’s Trust was founded by HM The King in 1976, when he was HRH The Prince of Wales. Since then it has helped more than a million young people across the UK. Three in four of those we supported over the last five years have moved into work, education or training. They recently announced a decision to change the name of the the Trust to The King’s Trust.
