Barnet Council are running a series of outreach sessions at Chipping Barnet Library and Burnt Oak Library during January to advise local people of extra financial support that might be available to them .

Barnet Council has its own benefits eligibility calculator, which can be found here.

A team from the council will be at Chipping Barnet Library every Tuesday from 10am-12.30pm and at Burnt Oak Library every Thursday from 10am-12.30pm to support residents to complete the calculator. They will also be able to put people attending in touch with approved professional debt advisors.

According to Policy in Practice, £19 billion of support goes unclaimed each year..
