Barnet residents are invited to take part in upcoming community development schemes through consultations, discussions, and feedback.

Five new projects are currently open for consultation.

Golders Green Creative Placemaking Consultation

The council is calling on the Golders Green community to have their say on the Golders Green Wayfinding and Culture and Community Action Plans, which aim to celebrate local heritage, nurture the local context, ensure cultural activation and inspire site-specific response to future projects, some of which will be delivered in 2023/4.

Consultation on proposals for a privately rented property licensing scheme 2024 – 2029

From summer 2023 all privately rented accommodations in Burnt Oak, Colindale North and Colindale South will be required to be licensed.

Following changes in ward boundaries, we are now consulting on new property licensing proposals for the privately rented sector in other parts of the borough. Property licensing is a way we can ensure safer and better conditions in privately rented properties with a particular focus on areas where poor quality private accommodation is more prevalent.

Residents, tenants, landlords, managing or letting agents, organisations, businesses and all other interested parties can have their say until Tuesday 23rd May.

Brent Cross Cricklewood Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) Review

Following last year’s survey in the Brent Cross Cricklewood area to assess parking needs and where parking restrictions would be required to ensure the safe operation of the road network, an Experimental Controlled Parking Zone has been introduced as an interim parking control measure. The roads covered by the survey included Brent Terrace, Clitterhouse Crescent, Clitterhouse Road and a section of Claremont Road.

The feedback from the residents will review how well the implemented measures are working and help to make changes accordingly.

Residents, tenants, landlords, managing or letting agents, organisations, businesses and all other interested parties are encouraged to have their say.
