Barnet’s motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways – the agency responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads – shows that six closures are due to start this week:
• M1, from 11pm December 2nd to 6am December 3rd, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, carriageway closure and link road closure for delam inspections, diversion via TFL roads.
• M1, from 10pm December 5th to 6am December 11th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for inspections works.
• M1, from 10pm December 5th to 5am December 15th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane closures for barrier repairs.
• M1, from 10pm December 5th to 6am December 10th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, carriageway closure and entry slip road closure for inspections, diversion via TFL roads.
• A1, from 10pm December 5th to 6am December 10th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2, entry slip road closure for concrete repairs, diversion via local authority roads.
• M1, from 10pm December 12th to 5.30am December 20th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 3 to junction 2, exit slip road closure and lane closures for concrete investigations, diversion TFL roads.
