New Southgate house damaged by fire

25 firefighters tackled the blaze on Firs Avenue last night

Two floors of a house in New Southgate were damaged in a fire last night.

The Fire Brigade was called to the building on Firs Avenue after 11pm with 25 firefighters from three local fire stations required to tackle the blaze, which damaged parts of the first and second floors.

There were no reports of any injuries.  

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
