Barnet Post is the borough’s free community newspaper and website. It includes local news, features about community projects and campaigns, comment and opinion on what’s happening in the borough, interviews with local people, and previews of local events.
Barnet Post is a print newspaper, with 15,000 copies per month distributed through supermarkets and community venues. Print and online ad placements are available.
The Post is published by Social Spider Community Interest Company, which also runs four other newspapers in London – Waltham Forest Echo, Enfield Dispatch, Newham Voices and Haringey Community Press, – on a not-for-profit basis.
Barnet Post relies on advertising revenue to cover production costs but all income is reinvested in the continuing success of the publication.

“We found that advertising with the Barnet Post is one of our most effective marketing collaborations. Being both local and independent, like ourselves, the Barnet Post has similar values and aspirations as us. It offers a valuable service whilst supporting and promoting local community activities. We are impressed by the dedication and professionalism of its staff and the support they have provided to us throughout – from the initial graphic design stage to the final printed publication.”
