Drivers in and around Barnet will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm March 31st to 5.30am April 1st, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 6 to junction 1, Lane, carriageway and slip road closure for weather station replacements, diversion via Local Authorities.

• M1, from 9pm April 1st to 5am April 2nd moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 2 to junction London Gateway Services and junction London Gateway Services to junction 2, Lane closures for Structure inspections.

• M1, from 9pm April 7th to 6am April 17th slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane and hard shoulder closure for Boundary fence repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
