Colindale-based police officer charged with rape

An officer based at Colindale Police Station has been charged with rape.

Inspector Jason Wu will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday, 29th July).

He has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The charges relate to offences against a woman in August 2019 and October 2021.

The allegations were first reported in June 2022 and an investigation was launched. Following further enquiries, the case was referred to the Crown Prosecution Service which authorised charges.

A postal charge and requisition was served on Friday, 15th May 2026.

Inspector Wu is suspended from duty.
