Two arrested in connection with East Finchley murder investigation

Police have arrested two people as part of an investigation into the murder of a man in East Finchley.

53-year-old Paul Heyfron, who lived in East Finchley, died on Sunday following an incident on Monday, 30th June. Police were called by ambulance services following reports of a man being assaulted in a shop on Brook Walk.

Earlier today, a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Lewisham. A 47-year-old woman was arrested at the same location on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They are both currently in custody at a London police station.

Detective Inspector Jon Moseling, the Senior Investigating Officer said: “Our thoughts remain with Paul’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.

“This is a significant update in our investigation, however our enquiries continue to establish the circumstances of this tragic incident.”
