Five Oaks in Chipping Barnet is putting on a programme of activities to celebrate Nutrition and Hydration Week

A Barnet care home is putting on a programme of activities this week to promote health eating and drinking.
The Five Oaks home in Cockfosters Road has been holding a series of events over the course of Nutrition and Hydration Week, which runs from 16th March to 22nd March, which it says shine a spotlight on “the vital role that good nutrition and hydration play in health and wellbeing”.
Activities include a talk about healthy meal preparation from Asda, cocktail making and a wellbeing practitioner providing massage sessions.
The home says the programme also includes daily exercise sessions led by its fitness team, keeping residents active and energised throughout the week.
Rahima Mulindwa, the care home’s manager said: “Nutrition and Hydration Week is a fantastic opportunity to highlight just how important food and drink are to our residents’ overall health and wellbeing. We’re delighted to be bringing together our residents, staff and the wider community for such a special programme of activities.”
