If you’ve ever walked onto Grahame Park Estate, you couldn’t miss the old signage for a long-derelict former Spar supermarket just off Corner Mead. Grahame Park Estate is now being brought back to life as an exciting new community hub is being established, thanks to the vision and commitment of Trinity Church.

Located in the heart of Grahame Park Estate, the nostalgic former supermarket has stood empty for years. Since April 2025, however, the space has been undergoing a remarkable transformation after the church received the keys and began refurbishing the building for community use.

Over the last 15+ years, the church has been active in the local area, operating from a council-owned building on Avion Crescent (just off Grahame Park Way), where it hosts Colindale Foodbank, a youth group, winter homeless night shelter and a range of church and community events.

With future plans for social housing development on Avion Crescent, the church worked closely with the council to temporarily relocate its activities to Grahame Park Estate, ensuring vital community services continued uninterrupted.

As part of this move, the church raised £54,000 to fund the refurbishment of the former SPAR supermarket. The project has been delivered in partnership with T2B Services and Roberto Abbate, whose expertise has helped turn the vision of a welcoming, multi-use community hub into reality.

The new space, which will be named Trinity Hub, will host Colindale Foodbank as well as a community café and a range of breakout rooms available for local groups and services. These spaces will be suitable for activities such as tutoring, health clinics, advice services and community meetings, creating new opportunities for residents across Grahame Park, Colindale and the rest of North West London.

The hub will be a vibrant, accessible space that brings people together, supports those in need, and contributes to the ongoing regeneration of the estate.

With plans to open early spring, refurbishment work is still underway, and the church is excited to welcome local residents, partners and organisations back into this refreshed space. We look forward to seeing it used, enjoyed and shaped by the community for years to come.
