Northern Line services closing early

Bank branch trains will not run after 10pm on Mondays to Thursdays until “early spring”

East Finchley station

Trains will not be running on part of the Northern Line after 10pm for four days each week due to track maintenance work.

Services on the Bank branch of the line between Camden Town and Kennington stopped running early on Mondays to Thursday as of yesterday (Monday, 12th January). Trains will run on the Charing Cross branch as usual.

TfL says that this situation will be in place until “late Spring 2026”.

While this change will not directly affect Northern Line stations in Barnet, it will mean that residents travelling home from Bank branch stations will need to find alternative routes.

TfL has provided further information here.
