Whitbread hopes to offer 2,200 new rooms at hotels in 17 locations across outer London

The owner of hotel chain Premier Inn is targeting two Barnet locations as part of its plans to provide over two thousand new rooms across outer London.
Whitbread PLC, which is the UK’s largest hotel business, says it has identified 17 target locations for hotels in outer London including Golders Green and Finchley, and aims to provide 2,200 new bedrooms in total.
The company says it is looking to partner with councils, landowners, investment agencies and developers to identify suitable sites for the new hotels.
Speaking about the outer London targets, Whitbread’s acquisitions and development manager, James Hall, said: “Each of London’s boroughs has its own distinct personality and feel, so it’s no wonder that the capital’s appeal to our leisure and business customers extends beyond the city centre.
“With a strong track record of delivering a wide variety of London sites – from office-to-hotel conversions like Dorset House by the Southbank to innovative developments like the subterranean hub by Premier Inn at The Brunswick Centre – we’re flexible in the opportunities we’re seeking.
“I look forward to building on existing connections across London and creating new ones that capitalise on the fantastic opportunities for network growth. If you have a site or opportunity that could benefit from Whitbread’s investment, please get in touch.”
