Five delays on the A1 and M1 for Barnet drivers to avoid reports Adam Care, Data Reporter

Barnet’s motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A1, from 10pm 18th August to 6am 13th September, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, junction Bignells corner to junction Rowley Lane, Lane closures for Culvert works.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M1, from 10pm 26th August to 5.30am 28th August, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closure for CCTV works.
• M1, from 10pm 26th August 26 to 5.30am 16th September, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2, Lane and slip road closure for Concrete repairs, diversion via Local Authorities network.
• M1, from 10pm 26th August to 6am 30th August, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane closures for barrier works.
• M1, from 9.30pm 1st September to 6am 27th September, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for Boundary Fence replacements.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
