Road closures: five for Barnet drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Barnet will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm March 17th to 5am March 18th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 4, Lane closure for FWD/GPR survey works.

• M1, from 10pm March 18th to 5am March 19th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 4, Lane closures for FWD/GPR upgrades.

• M1, from 11pm March 21st to 5am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 4, Lane closure for FWD/GPR survey works.

• M1, from 10pm March 24th to 5am March 25th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 3 to junction 4, Lane closures for FWD/GPR survey works.

• M1, from 10pm March 31st to 5.30am April 1st, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 6 to junction 1, Lane, carriageway and slip road closure for weather station replacements, diversion via Local Authorities.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
