Six delays on the A1 and M1 for Barnet drivers to avoid reports Clara Margotin, Data Reporter

Drivers in and around Barnet will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A1, from 10pm March 4th to 6am March 15th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound, junction 1 to junction Borehamwood, Lane closure for weather station replacement works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A1, from 10pm March 10th to 6am March 15th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 5, carriageway closure for Resurfacing works, diversion via Local Authorities.

• M1, from 10pm March 17th to 5am March 18th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 4, Lane closure for FWD/GPR survey works.

• M1, from 10pm March 18th to 5am March 19th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 4, Lane closures for FWD/GPR upgrades.

• M1, from 11pm March 21st to 5am March 22nd, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 4, Lane closure for FWD/GPR survey works.

• M1, from 10pm March 24th to 5am March 25th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 3 to junction 4, Lane closures for FWD/GPR survey works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
