Childs Hill representative Matt Perlberg slammed the previous Conservative government for failing to bring down rent costs

A Barnet councillor says that a map showing Golders Green’s sky high rents proves that the need for Labour administration’s actions to support renters.
A new tube map published by media platform DOSE shows rent prices around Golders Green Station as the highest on the Edgware branch of the Northern Line in Barnet at an average £796 per month.
Matt Perlberg, a councillor in Childs Hill ward where the tube station is located, said: “The Conservative government did little to protect private renters and almost nothing to bring down the price of renting.
“Thankfully from ending no fault evictions to introducing a right to manage, the Labour Government is protecting private renters.
“Barnet Labour will introduce a private renters charter that will protect tenants.”
Barnet residents can take part in the consultation on the renters charter here.
