Barnet Council seek views on Local Plan

The Local Plan is the planning framework for building development in the borough

Barnet Council is seeking views its Local Plan, which will provide the planning framework for building development in the borough until 2036.

The process of redrawing the Local Plan began under the previous Conservative Council administration. After a range of consultations stretching back to 2021, the plan was submitted to government in November 2021. A Planning Inspector appointed by the Government has asked the council to make a number of modifications to the Plan in order for it to be capable of adoption.

These Main Modifications are changes to the submitted plan which are necessary to make it sound and legally compliant.

Details of the consultation, including ways to make submissions can be found at the Barnet Council website: https://engage.barnet.gov.uk/main-modifications-local-plan

The consultation closes 18th June 2024
