Venue: artsdepot, 5 Nether Street, Tally Ho Corner, North Finchley N12 0GA

Date/Time: Saturday 20th April, 3.30pm

Info: Queer makers! Join Jack Boal to troubleshoot your creative idea in a peer supportive environment. Bring an idea for a creative project or a discipline you want to incorporate into your theatre practice and we will help you to begin to realise this.

With dramaturgical support from Jack Boal, who uses drag, lip-sync and verbatim in his own theatre practice, this is a chance to ask for help within a community of artists at your doorstep. This workshop is about taking the seeds of an idea and bringing them out to future fruition.

Jack is a working-class performance artist from North London. He makes work that is inherently political and entertaining, engaging audiences to create dialogue on the present and future through drag, clowning and interactive performance.

Tickets: £5-£10 here.

No news is bad news

Independent news outlets like ours – reporting for the community without rich backers – are under threat of closure, turning British towns into news deserts.

The audiences they serve know less, understand less, and can do less.

In celebration of Indie News Week, Public Interest News Foundation's Indie News Fund will match fund all donations, including new annual supporter subscriptions for the month of June.

If our coverage has helped you understand our community a little bit better, please consider supporting us with a monthly, yearly or one-off donation.
