The walks are organised by Action for Silk Stream, a joint environmental project across Harrow and Barnet. The project focuses on the Burnt Oak Brook and the Edgware Brook where they run through parks within the Boroughs.

Walks will take place every Wednesday at 11am and consist of a leisurely walk around Watling Park and the local area, led by a trained instructor. The instructor is also a trained pilates teacher and so will offer some gentle stretches during the walk.

The walk is FREE to all and anyone can attend. No booking is required. The group will meet at 11am at the gates to Watling Park on the Watling Avenue/Orange Hill corner. Bring a water bottle and wear sensible shoes and clothing suitable for the weather.

The first walk will be on January 17th 2024 at 11am.

No booking is required – just turn up at 11am at the gates to Watling Park on the Watling Avenue/Orange Hill corner. Bring a water bottle and wear sensible shoes and clothing suitable for the weather.

Action for Silk Stream has been given £6million from Defra and is managed via the Environment Agency. Plans for improvement and conservation works in Watling Park are in their final stages.
