Brent Cross West Station, London’s newest mainline train station, will open its doors on Sunday 10th December
Train enthusiasts rejoice! Sunday 10th December brings the opportunity to witness the first trains as they pass through Brent Cross West, London’s newest mainline train station, on the day of its opening.
The first train of the day is scheduled to arrive at 6.58am. Across the day there will be a small programme of events, beginning at 10.00am. Activities will include multiple free family friendly workshops including postcard and bookmark making.
The day will also be marked with performances by local steel band JustIn Carnival and an Oompa band who will be playing from 10.30am and in the afternoon.
On show will be community artwork created by local artist Elisa Cantarelli, with Barnet and Brent residents. The artwork will be displayed and unveiled on the station overbridge.
Visitors will also be able to see the colourful architectural frieze designed by Giles Round.
