Barnet’s motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 10pm August 21st to 5am August 22nd, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction London Gateway, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm August 21st to 5am August 22nd, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closure for electrical works.

• A1, from 11pm August 18th to 5am August 25th, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, junction 1 to junction Borehamwood, Lane closures for signage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads are not included in their schedule.
