Five people were treated for smoke inhalation following the blaze at a house in Fortis Green Avenue
40 firefighters tackled a fire at a house in East Finchley this morning.
The fire brigade was called to the two-storey terraced house in Fortis Green Avenue before 5am this morning. The blaze, which caused damage to part of the ground floor, first floor and converted loft, was under control by 9am.
Three adults and two children from the house and a neighbouring property were treated by ambulance crews for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
