Barnet road closures: five more for motorists to avoid this week

Two existing closures on the M1 will continue while three more will begin

Barnet’s motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways – the agency responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads – shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 10pm September 21 to 5am September 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway and slip road closures for maintenance works, diversion via National highways network.

• M1, from 11pm September 23 to 5.30am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 3 to junction 4, Lane closures for delam inspections.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M1, from 10pm September 27 to 5am September 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction London Gateway Service to junction 5, Lane closure for carriageway repairs.

• M1, from 10.05pm September 27 to 5am September 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 4, Lane closure for urgent carriageway repairs.

• M1, from 10pm October 4 to 5.30am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for inspections.
