National Highways reports three planned closures on the M1 in and around Barnet this week

National Highways is the agency responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads

Barnet’s motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways – the agency responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads – shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 10.30pm August 14 to 5am August 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1, entry slip road closure for CAT 1 safety fence repairs, diversion via TFL roads.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M1, from 10pm August 15 to 5am August 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane one closure for maintenance works.

• M1, from 10pm August 16 to 5.30am August 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction 3, Lane closure for drainage works.
