Six fire engines called to fire in Barnet flats

Six fire engines and 40 firefighters were called to a fire in a block of flats in Barnet on Friday.

Firefighters were called to the four-storey block on Constable Close in Barnet at 3.02pm on Friday afternoon and the fire was under control by 5.28pm.

Part of a third floor flat was destroyed by the blaze, with 12 people leaving the building before the fire brigade arrived.

There were no reports of any injuries. The cause of the fire is being invesigated.
