Road closures: six for Barnet drivers this week

Barnet’s drivers will be affected by six closures of lanes and slip roads on the M1

Drivers in and around Barnet will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways – the agency responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads – shows that six closures are due to start this week:

• M1, from 10pm August 8 to 5.30am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for drainage works.

• M1, from 10pm August 8 to 5.30am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for drainage works.

• M1, from 10pm August 9 to 5.30am August 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closure for drainage works.

• M1, from 10pm August 10 to 5.30am August 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closure for drainage works.

• M1, from 11pm August 12 to 5.30am August 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, exit slip road closure for drainage works, diversion via TFL roads.

• M1, from 10pm August 15 to 5am August 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane one closure for maintenance works.
