Finchley supermarket celebrates refurbishment

A Finchley supermarket celebrated its reopening following refurbishment last week.

Waitrose Finchley in Ballards Lane welcomed Finchley and Golders Green MP Sarah Sackman to cut the ribbon on Friday as it unveiled features which the company says include upgraded service counters, a new dry-aged beef cabinet and a redesigned bakery.

Customers arriving early on Friday received free tote bags and a glass of prosecco or orange juice.

On her Facebook page, Sackman said: “Staff and residents alike told me how much they loved the store which has served our community since 1994!”

Branch manager, Edward Caswell, said: “Having been a proud part of this community for over three decades, we are excited to unveil a refreshed store designed entirely around our customers. The new updates make shopping seamless and enjoyable – a destination for food lovers. We can’t wait for our customers to experience the new space.”
