Barnet man charged with possession of cocaine and knuckle duster

A Barnet man has been charged with a series of offences including possession of cocaine and a knuckle duster after being arrested by police in Potters Bar.

Herts Police say 30-year-old Sabael Jaho of Station Parade, Cockfosters Road in Cockfosters was arrested in Park Avenue in Potters Bar in the early hours of Saturday, 1st August.

Later that day he was charged with: possession of a class A drug (cocaine) with intent to supply, possession of an offensive weapon (knuckle duster), driving without a licence and driving whilst uninsured.

He has been bailed and will appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 8th September.

PC Jack Laycock, from Hertsmere neighbourhood policing team, said: “A quantity of cocaine and a knuckle duster are now off the streets of Potters Bar. We’re committed to keeping Hertsmere safe and I hope this news reminds residents that we are carrying out patrols 24/7, looking out for you.”
