Developer makes donation to foodbank

Taylor Wimpey has given £500 to Finchley Foodbank as part of a “nationwide initiative” to support foodbanks

A developer has made a donation to a Barnet foodbank as part of a “national campaign to help people living in financial hardship”.

Taylor Wimpey donated £500 to Finchley Foodbank to support its work providing food and toiletries to local people. The company says it is supporting foodbanks across the UK “as they often experience a spike in demand during the school holidays”.

It previously supported Finchley Foodbank’s London Marathon fundraiser in 2025.

Rachel Nelson, Finchley Foodbank manager, said: “We are grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation again this year. It’s great to know that businesses are serious about supporting the communities where they work.

“It costs over £11,000 per month to run Finchley Foodbank, so repeat support is especially welcome as it frees us to focus on our core operations – providing emergency food to those in need in Barnet.”

Rozita Gharavi, sales and marketing manager at Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “We’re proud to have donated to Finchley Foodbank again as part of our national drive to support foodbanks across the country.

“This donation also aligns with our commitment to giving back to the communities surrounding our developments. Finchley Foodbank is just around the corner from our Tramworks development in North Finchley, and offers a vital service to local residents by acting as a lifeline for anyone facing financial hardship.”
