The summer school holidays are finally here!

Barnet libraries are once again running the summer reading challenge – the perfect way to keep your little ones reading throughout the long summer break!

This year’s challenge, called ‘Read to the Beat’, celebrates the joy of music and the power it has to move, inspire, and connect us – all through the magic of reading.

Children aged four to 12 can take part in the challenge by reading six books or more over the summer, earning prizes and rewards along the way. Children aged three and under can take part in a simplified version for younger readers too!

That’s not all – Barnet libraries have a jam-packed summer of music-themed events. Highlights in August include an interactive storytelling workshop, a DJ workshop, STEM Jams and lots more activities and crafts. All events are either free or low cost.
