Bright Little Stars received the award for its “outstanding commitment to working in partnership with families”

A Barnet nursery has received national recognition for its work after scooping a prestigious award.
Bright Little Stars Nursery received the Family Engagement Award 2026 from the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) at its recent awards ceremony.
The nursery says the award acknowledges its “ongoing efforts to place families at the centre of its practice, ensuring strong communication, shared learning opportunities and a supportive community where children can thrive”.
Reacting to the news, Karma, the nursery’s manager, said: “We are incredibly honoured to receive this award. It reflects our belief that strong family partnerships are at the heart of exceptional early years education.
“This recognition belongs not only to our dedicated team but also to our wonderful families, whose trust, support and involvement help create the nurturing environment where children can truly thrive. Together, we are shaping the very best outcomes for every child.”
Tim McLachlan, Chief Executive of NDNA, said: “We are incredibly proud of all our members and this year’s award winners, who represent the very best of the early years sector. Their passion, dedication and innovation are making a real difference to the lives of children and families every day.
He added: “These awards are a chance to celebrate their achievements and recognise the vital role they play in shaping the future through high-quality early education and care.”
